    Why feet and hands? We know the expression "to go above and beyond," which expresses the effort of the man to reach a goal, against winds and tides (the French expression is translated literally as "to make hands and feet"). Hence our reflection on the role of the feet and hands in which man was born: by standing, the foot released his hand, and the hand freed the word. Such verticality leads each of us to the desire for transcendence or surpassing of oneself, in all the fields where feet and hands combine to achieve excellence (from the artist to the climber, the sportsman to the tightrope walker, from the dancer to the tribune, from the sower of seeds to the sower of words, from the atheist to the believer) ... before the Camarde with cleft feet and torso hands come to cut us down, with joined hands and inert feet. The Bible, literature and art have been our reservoir of research
