Anerkanntermaßen stellt das Konzept des Knowledge Management einen entscheidenden Gewinn für den Informationsprofi dar. Management-Theorien betonen immer die wichtige Rolle von Bibliotheken und Bibliothekare in der Praxis von Organisationen (Unternehmen, Städte aber auch die gesamte Gesellschaft).
