    "[.] In 1639, Martin Opitz rescued for us the only complete surviving text of the Annolied (circa 1083), and now Graeme Dunphy has made available a reprint of the Opitz edition and with it Opitz’s prologue and notes, a new English translation, and the translator’s informative notes on the translation and on Opitz’s commentary. In his prologue Opitz expresses the purpose of the edition, which is to demonstrate that the German language was inherited by his contemporaries in an unbroken line from earliest times. This is a strikingly early formulation of the romantic thesis the Grimm brothers developed later. Thus by including Opitz’s prologue and notes on his sources and philological explanations, Dunphy gives us the essential tools to re-invigorate research in three areas: Opitz, who is too frequently thought of as a narrowly focused poeticist, the serious study of philology and history in the sixteenth century, and most importantly, the Annolied itself.     Dieser Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der Rezeption des Mittelalters in der Barockzeit am Beispiel von Martin Opitz und den mittelalterlichen Alexandererzählungen. lm Apparat zu seiner Annolied-Ausgabe läßt sich Opitz auf einen längeren Diskurs über den Alexanderstoff ein, wie dieser in mehreren mittelalterlichen Werken vorkommt. Neben dem "Annolied" selbst stellt er hier vor allem die "Kosmographie" des Aethicus von lstrien und ein anonymes Werk mit dem Titel "Excerptum de vita Alexandri Magni" zur Diskussion. Damit beeinflußt er nachhaltig die wissenschaftliche Rezeption von Aethicus in den darauffolgenden Jahrhunderten. Der Artikel umersucht diese Konstellation und bietet nebenbei einige neue Einsichten zum Briefwechsel von Opitz mit seinem wichtigsten Gewährsmann, Claude Saumaise.

    Most texts that deal with Martin tom Dieck’s black-and-white comic "hundert Ansichten der Speicherstadt" (Zürich: Arrache Cœur, 1997, French title: Vortex) claim that it depicts the eponymous warehouse district (Speicherstadt) in Hamburg. As this paper shows, this claim is inaccurate: although the architecture in tom Dieck’s drawings clearly refers to buildings in the warehouse district, the differences in the details are so obvious, that to speak of a straightforward depiction of the Speicherstadt is oversimplifying. After a brief comparison with Christoph Schäfer’s picture book "Die Stadt ist unsere Fabrik" (Leipzig: Spector Books, 2010), the paper concludes with a discussion of the depiction of urban environments in general and in tom Dieck's book in particular.

    João Guimarães Rosa was strongly influenced by the German literature, philosophy and music. The German tradition and its methods of associations suggested him to develop his own methodologies from the substrates provided by traditional Brazilian songs. This paper shows the general effects of musical techniques in short-stories of "Sagarana", the influence of Heidegger´s philosophy and the use of the concept of Wagner´s 'Grundmotiv' in "O burrinho pedrês" and "Sarapalha". Finally, it is proposed some connections between "A hora e vez de Augusto Matraga" (ROSA) and "Parsifal", by Wagner. ; A proximidade entre música, filosofia e literatura na tradição alemã e seus métodos de aproveitamento dessas relações marcou profundamente João Guimarães Rosa, possibilitandolhe desenvolver trilhas próprias a partir dos substratos oferecidos pelas cantigas tradicionais brasileiras. Os efeitos gerais das técnicas musicais em "Sagarana", a influência de conceitos da filosofia de Heidegger, a utilização do 'Grundmotiv' wagneriano em "O burrinho pedrês" e "Sarapalha" e as semelhanças entre a narrativa "A hora e vez de Augusto Matraga" e a opera "Parsifal", de Wagner, constituem o objeto desta reflexão. ; Die Nähe zwischen Musik, Philosophie und Literatur in der deutschen Tradition und in ihren Methoden faszinierte João Guimarães Rosa zutiefst. Aus dem deutschen Beispiel heraus entwickelte er seine Methodenlehre der Organisation der brasilianischen traditionellen Lieder. Dieser Artikel diskutiert die allgemeine Wirkung der musikalischen Schreibtechniken in ausgewählten Kurzgeschichten aus dem Band "Sagarana": In "O burrinho pedrês" und "Sarapalha" wird der Einfluss von Heideggers Philosophie diskutiert bei gleichzeitiger Berücksichtigung vom Wagnerischen Konzept des 'Grundmotiven': In "A hora e a vez de Augusto Matraga" werden die Beziehungen zu Wagners "Parsifal" analysiert.
